Derek Allen

Dentist

Derek Qualified from Kings London in 1979 and worked in London for 7 years running his own practice in Battersea. He is interested in general dentistry having completed various postgraduate course particularly Advanced Prosthetics in Manchester 1998, then an Implantology course in Manchester 2000. Further implant courses in Boston Mass, in 2001/2 & 3. In November 2010 he completed a course in Digital Scanning for implant diagnosis at Bio Technology Institute, Vitoria, Spain. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and is active in the Gloucester Independent Dentist postgraduate group.

He is delighted that he has been treating some patients for more than 25 years in Gloucester.

Peter Workman

Dentist

Peter qualified in 1990 at Edinburgh University. Working for other dentists he gained experience and a further interest in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.

He has undertaken many postgraduate courses with further implant training in the USA and Europe. Along with Dr Allen, he is a mentor for the Bicon Implant system.

To complement the creation of a smile he also provides facial treatment utilising Botox and dermal fillers.

Outside of work he enjoys cooking, travelling, motorsports and rugby.

Liz Boakes

Hygienist

Liz began her dental career in 1994 training as a Dental Nurse and gained further qualifications in dental radiography.

She qualified as a Dental Hygienist from Cardiff Dental School in 2002. Since then Liz has worked as part of Derek and Peter’s team enabling continuity of care to our many long standing patients.

Liz enjoys attending and participating in post-graduate lectures and courses. She remains open minded and enthusiastic about the changing face of dentistry.
