Over the next 12 months we have decided to concentrate part of our activities on raising funds for the NSPCC and specifically their Child’s Voice Appeal. Our target is to raise £6000 by donating 10% of every regular patient examination and 20% of every new patient examination from the 1st of June for 12 months. Also we will be raising funds through other activites like our sponsored cycle ride.
Best wishes
Derek and Peter
Update 31st July 2009...
He did it, Nick completed 240 miles to London and back on behalf of the NSPCC with Peter and I accompanying him for the last 20 miles from Cirencester in the rain (photo attached).
If you have kindly promised to sponsor us then could you either send us a cheque (payable to Affinity Dental Care) or use the just giving link (www.justgiving.co.uk/affinity-dental-care) to pay by card. If you have already paid your sponsorship then thank you very much for your support it is greatly appreciated.
The London cycle took 10 hours on the way there and 8 on the way back (less punctures coming home). The A40 into central London was apparently a bit mad but cycling through Hyde Park was an experience. Cirencester to Gloucester had a couple of killer hills that reminded us all that we should get out more and the rain slowly soaking into parts that should remain dry should be worth a £ of anyone’s money for the NSPCC.
Don’t forget it is not too late to sponsor our activities if you have not done so yet.
Nick arrives in Cirencester and Peter and Derek are ready for the last 20 miles. |
20 miles later a little damp but in good spirits at the practice. |
